With England’s comprehensive victory over Bulgaria, the question is being raised as to whether the early season friendlies that disrupt the UK season are really necessary. Due to rioting in London, Englands friendly at Wembley had to be cancelled. However, this didn,t seem to adversely affect the performance of the team aginst Bulgaria.
Another disappointing performance from the England team. Two things occur to me: 1. England don’t have many great footballers – our premier league is full of foreign stars 2. A qualifying match just after the end of the season is not great timing.
